I am surprised that not only does KongregateNeeds more love: kongregate - TV Tropes Forum (2) Not have a forum topic but is also lacking its own page. So let us discuss here Kongregate one of the largest repositories of flash games.

Of course we could also discuss notable flash games on Kongregate what with Cursed Treasure Dont Touch My Gems, Anti Idle, and Epic Battle Fantasy

We used to have a Kongregate topic. I think it got lost, though.

I do love this site. So full of flash games that are quite amazing...le sigh.

I should try to beat Epic Battle Fantasy 2 on Epic again. I never could beat Lance, that bastard...

Every time I'm linked to Knogregate I'm not disappointed. It's like Newgrounds, if Newgrounds were nothing like Newgrounds and instead actually good.

The standouts for me were You Have To Burn The Rope, Mitazo (or whatever that weird Panic clone involving the seed was) and that game where you play the sea creature with the mouse controlled tentacles and can be either good or evil.

Needs more love: kongregate - TV Tropes Forum (7)If that was a troll, it's immaturity. If that was a real comment, it's ignorance. Kongregate games are not your typical Flash games.

I believe the seed game is Mitoza. There's a thread for it somewhere here.

I never understood why the current top 2 games on the site get so much love. Cursed Treasure is just like any other TD game, and EBF 3 is just a plotless RPG with zero depth. Meanwhile, games like MARDEK get criticized for actually having a plot or having a retro look, and other defense games are "too hard!" or not easy enough.

I'm not bashing the games themselves, but the Kongregate audience can just be incredibly...stupid at times. I can't count the amount of times where a game gets a "1/5 no mute button" or "too much talking 1/5" or "bad graphx 1/5" without any thought given to the effort put in by the game developers.

...Sorry about that. I personally liked Intrusion, which reminded me of an easier Metal Slug, or The Trader of stories, which felt like a refreshing point 'n click with a great artstyle and focus on story.

(person who started the previous Kongregate thread)

Needs more love: kongregate - TV Tropes Forum (24) I can't explain Epic Battle Fantasy 3 being in the top 3 unless it is because of it's hummor and Playing With Tropes.

Cursed Treasure I can attempt to explain (though I have not played it in quite a while). Yes, it has all the same basics as other TD games, but they are better balanced than most. You even have a combination of "pathed" monster movement and "free" monster movement. On top of that the game is long enough to get chalangeing but not so long that it gets borring. The main reason I don't like Gemcraft, Boloons TD, etc. is that they take forever to play.

Does this mean it isas good/better than MARDEK or other games with good story lines? Depends on how you look at it. If you like/are looking for a game that you can pick up and put down durring a work break, Cursed Treasure is something I would highly recommend. If you want to play a full game with complex/good mechanics and story, there are other games I would recommend.

True, but in all fairness, the community does have over 4 million members. Idiots are inevitable. Not that that makes dealing with said idiots any more enjoyable.

The main issue I had with Cursed Treasure was like every other TD game out there it basically came down to finding the one kind of tower the programmer had a hardon for (Frost) and abusing the piss out of it. Admittedly it was better about it than most TD's.

Yeah stupid people will be stupid. At least they finally stopped trying to push Sacred Seasons. That game was basically what would happen if the Kaguya TableNeeds more love: kongregate - TV Tropes Forum (28) had a cash shop.

^Most Kongregate players are bitter and/or suspicious about any mmo Kongregate has. Not that there isnt a really good M Mo every once in a while Remnants Of Skystone and Fantasy University are both worth looking into.

You're talking about one of the most popular flash game sites on the internets here. Kongregate is practically on the level of Adult Swim Games.

A word of warning; if you value your sanity, stay out of OT. There's practically a war between those who irrationally hate japanese stuff (HELLO MFT) and those who like it. Yes, I am opposed to MFT. (you see that used to hate all anime parto n my profile? ...yeah, HE'S why I'm tolerant.)
